How to Avoid Slipping Off Tackles
If you’re slipping off tackles at the weekend here’s the 2 things you can focus on to fix that.
Firstly focus on your non-active arm. If you’re making a right shoulder tackle try to think about what your left arm is doing. Make sure both arms are firing through and you're getting that ring of steel.
Secondly once you’ve got your ring of steel ask yourself ‘am I squeezing my arms?’ - it’s all well and good having them in the right place but if you’re not squeezing them around the attacker you’ll struggle to take them to floor effectively and risk slipping off the tackle.
